Associate Dispute Analyst (1 Position)

Job Description:

  • Primarily responsible to review electronic payment disputes and process claims for payment reversals
  • Review and investigate transaction disputes filed by cardholders, worldwide, and process their claims as per standard procedures and applicable regulations
  • Use of internal and external application interfaces to analyze transactions and resolve dispute cases
  • Coordinate with internal teams for relevant information related to dispute process
  • Communicates with external stakeholders such as cardholders, merchants, banks, program managers, payment networks and FIs for understanding, gathering or providing information necessary to process chargeback claims
  • Duly prepare dispute claims and submits to payment networks (MasterCard, VISA etc.)
  • Downloads payment network transaction files and submits to bank(s)
  • Compile and submit daily shift summary report and other periodic reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure 100% compliance to internal and external SOPs, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Stays abreast with procedures and regulations related to the dispute process
  • Use of statistical methods and analytic tools including Excel and similar tools and prepare various reports that help identify future trends
  • Analyzes process data to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop new formats and prepare graphic presentations of statistics for development of scorecards/dashboards
  • Review data and reports for trends, common themes, and opportunities for improvement. Where appropriate, uses statistical analysis. Report results to appropriate management and committees

We are looking for:

  • B.Sc/M.Sc Statistics
  • 0 to 1 year. Prior experience of forecasting and projections would be considered a plus


  • Command over statistical analysis duly expressed by keen interest
  • Knowledge of applying various statistics methods and algorithms
  • Good analytical skills with an appetite for learning
  • Good arithmetic and computing skills
  • Performing Data Services activities as defined by the Manager
  • Maintain and develop daily, weekly & monthly statically report for operations
  • Analysis of data to provide actionable insights
  • Use of MS Excel to create remarkable formulas and graphical representation
  • Maintaining seasonality and projection reports
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written English
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to perform under stress
  • Quality conscious with attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence level to communicate with international customers and stakeholders
  • Familiar with the use of business applications for routine operations
  • Readiness to maintain flexible timings to serve global clientele across different time zones
