Senior Software Engineer - Business Intelligence

Job Description

• Creating and gaining agreement to BI strategies
• Designing, testing and building inbound and outbound integrations from/to ERP Cloud suite
• Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with product manager and/or business constituents
• Share/define best practices and be consultative throughout duration of the project
• Produce a design document to match customer requirements
• Coordinate with the development team to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
• Provide input related to current best practices and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
• Maintain applicable certifications and/or expertise, as appropriate
• Support the development of data architecture principles, standards and processes for the organization and applies these to deliverables
• Partners with developers, DBAs and data architects to ensure data models can be deployed and maintained efficiently and accessed by consumers of the data effectively.
• Proven success delivering end to end BI Analytic Solutions spanning all aspects of solution delivery, requirements, estimates, designs, approach, dev/build/test, monitoring, transition to production
• Ability to engage business stakeholders to establish, define and maintain solution road maps for legacy systems ensuring they align with strategic and tactical business needs.

• Experience: 5 - 7 Years

Skills

• Very strong Java development skills
• Very strong Query writing skills, postgreSQL knowledge is a plus
• Set standards and best practices together with other architects
• Ensuring quality of the content of BI Business Solutions
• Building logical data modelling of BI Business Solutions
• Advise in the use of Business Intelligence, both inside and outside of the BI organization
• Participate/assist in production cutover and migration
• Architect, design, build, and maintain solutions to meet global business needs for the data warehouse and data mart environments
• Works with the Principle architect, BI director, and the business to define the architecture and strategy for BI/DW across the sector
• Provides technical direction to ETL developers, BI developers, data architects, and application developers to architect, design, and implement solutions
