Job Description

The Director of Regulatory Compliance will play a pivotal role in supporting i2c’s financial partnerships by overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance across our platforms, products, and services. This leader will ensure that regulatory requirements - federal, state, local, and international - are accurately identified, documented, and embedded into our business operations and technology solutions.

US-based, work from home, reports to VP Regulatory Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on banking products and real-time payment services, advising teams on regulatory requirements and embedding compliance into product development.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Managed Services to ensure regulatory obligations are clearly understood and risk mitigation controls are effectively implemented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage regulatory changes, assess their impact on people, processes, and technology, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct due diligence and scenario-based reviews to evaluate the applicability of regulatory requirements and determine how they should be incorporated into i2c’s platform and solutions.
  • Keep senior leadership informed on emerging regulatory risks and trends, ensuring proactive measures are taken to address new compliance challenges.
  • Integrate regulatory changes into monitoring processes and ensure effective tracking and reporting.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings with internal teams and external clients to ensure regulatory and risk issues are properly addressed in new and existing products and services.
  • Conduct annual review of enterprise-wide compliance training program, ensuring alignment with current regulations and industry best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is a plus
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or equivalent

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk management within the financial services or payments industry
  • Proven leadership in overseeing compliance-related activities and managing regulatory changes
  • Deep understanding of key financial regulations including Reg E, UDAAP, Reg Z, Dodd-Frank, AML/BSA

Required Competencies

  • Deep expertise in regulatory frameworks governing banks and credit unions, with a strong grasp of federal and state compliance standards
  • Proven ability to interpret complex financial regulations and translate them into actionable operational strategies
  • Skilled in developing and implementing compliance policies, training programs, and regulatory change initiatives
  • Strong project management and documentation capabilities, with attention to regulatory detail and audit readiness
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration to embed compliance into product development and service delivery
