Job Description

Purpose

The primary goal of this role is to identify and secure new business opportunities for i2c with both prospective and existing clients. The Solutions Sales Engineer will engage with new prospects, respond to inbound opportunities, and collaborate closely with sales and account executives to support customer growth. Additionally, the Solutions Sales Engineer will identify potential new applications and solutions for i2c technology within existing accounts to enhance their business success and growth beyond the initial launch.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Needs & Solutions Development:2. Understand the i2c product portfolio and how it can be used to solve various client problems
  2. Understand the clients business needs and develop solutions for multi-tier business applications.
  3. Review and understand existing prospect systems design/architecture and provide recommendations to support business requirements.
  4. Documentation & Presentation:6. Prepare and deliver solution concept documents that capture detailed client needs.
  5. Create and present in-depth technical presentations.
  6. Elicit, analyze, elaborate, and document prospect/customer business requirements, including functional, usability, and nonfunctional requirements.
  7. Technical Support & Translation:10. Support i2c and customer implementation teams with bilingual technical translation of requirements and project management.
  8. Deliver standard and customized product demonstrations in support of opportunity pursuits, including mobile app demos.
  9. Proposal & Competitive Analysis:13. Contribute to technical responses to RFIs/RFPs.
  10. Assist in proposal development, including solution proposals supporting high-level scope of work for potential services delivered.
  11. Conduct opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, strategy, and expectation setting.
  12. Research & Communication:17. Prepare bi-annual research of top competitors and deliver competitive updates internally and cross-functionally on key trends and emerging needs.
  13. Author and/or review technical notes suitable for viewing by both prospects and existing customers.
  14. Proactively communicate challenges and opportunities to Sales Management and key internal partners such as Product Management, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering.
  15. Technical Documentation:21. Create technical architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, process flows, and integration specifications.
  16. Collaboration:23. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other i2c departments, which are key to i2c's success.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the banking and payment processing industries, along with experience in sales and business development. They should be able to articulate the technical merits of i2c products and solutions and build trust with product and technology teams of organizations seeking i2c's services. A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for technology and the banking industry is essential.

Education

  • Degree in a technology-related field, preferably Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Technology

Desired Competencies

  1. Industry Knowledge:2. Experience in the banking technology sector and understanding of SaaS solutions.
  2. Sound understanding of payment industry technologies, software, and systems.
  3. Experience with credit, debit, prepaid, and other payment products.
  4. Experience with issuing, processing, and acquiring.
  5. Experience with fraud prevention and risk management.
  6. Experience with regulatory compliance.
  7. Skills & Abilities:9. Strong listening and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  8. Ability to rapidly learn, demonstrate, and communicate product knowledge.
  9. Strong written and verbal bilingual communication skills.
