Job Description

As a member of the NOC team, the role involves the following key responsibilities:

Administering Cisco and Palo Alto-based network devices located globally
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficiency, reliability and high availability
Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to optimize performance and scalability
Respond to and resolve network outages, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner
Work with team to support on-prem and cloud-based network integrations
Implement security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard network integrity
Regularly installing and updating network device software with the latest stable releases.
Managing access controls as per business requirements and documenting all changes.
Conducting continuous research on the latest technologies to improve the network infrastructure.
Collaborating with the team to identify and implement infrastructure improvements.
Maintaining detailed network documentation, including audit trails, processes, maintenance records, and diagrams.
Ensuring the timely completion of support tickets and assigned tasks
Deep understanding of generic network attacks and take care of it pro-actively

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience: 4-5 years

Strong knowledge of computer networking principles.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team to manage networks across remote locations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto NextGen network devices is a must
Hands-on experience of Layer-2 and Layer-3 high-availability technologies.
Hands-on experience of routing protocols (BGP/OSPF)
In-depth knowledge of Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN
In-depth knowledge of Authentication protocols (TACACS+/RADIUS)
In-depth knowledge of virtualization and SD-WAN technologies
Expertise in the latest network technologies
Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible) for network automation is a plus
Good knowledge of Linux operating system is a plus
Completion of relevant trainings such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent is a must
